Full of watercolor illustrations on every page, this picture book tells the story about how a boy gets to the museum and what he sees on his way there. This is definitely a good book for both teachers and parents to read with their children. For children, the picture book is just like a game. They have to point out and recognize what the boy sees along the way, just as if they were walking alongside him. So, when he is walking down the street, he comes across his friend’s house and the grocery, then he must make a left. 圖畫書中透過小男孩告訴家人：「我要出去了！出門囉！」後，孩子可以跟著小男孩的腳步，開啟了一段冒險的旅程。路上的指標提示孩子應該要左轉或直走，小男孩一路前行，在街道間晃悠著，觀察著生活週遭有趣的建築和事物，路旁有人正在曬衣服，有人正提著公事包急忙要去上班，農地上也有人正在耕田，還有工人在一旁談話呢！。

看到巴士就要進站，小男孩急急忙忙的跑了過去，但他到底有沒有搭上巴士呢？翻頁就可以看見答案。接著，小男孩又跑下了電車月台，搭著電車往前進。小男孩的腳步似乎不曾停歇過，透過四通八達的交通網絡上，各式各樣的行人、商家，還有街景……等，小男孩終於抵達了目的地。但故事並沒有因此而結束哦！孩子還可以順著箭頭往回走，就可以安全的回家啦。

在走路的過程中，孩子可以試著測量與目的地之間的距離，用「步數」感受距離長度與速度，以及思考該走那個方向！
