This is the story, inspired by the travels of Charles Darwin, about a well-known watercolor painter from Taiwan following the footsteps of Charles Darwin. He travels to the Galapagos Isalnds to seek the wonders of the Galapagos Islands, the extraordinary ecological evolution, the beautiful wildlife. He returns with paintings of animals never seen before, and astounds his peers. The story follows his journey to the Galapagos Islands, while he paints deeply powerful pictures.

　    1831年，達爾文乘著小獵犬號來到南美洲的加拉巴哥群島，從觀察島上的物種，發展出「演化論」這革命性的學說，超越了同時代學者的眼界。
　　2004年，臺灣的知名水彩畫家楊恩生，遭逢生命低潮期，選擇追隨達爾文的腳步，來到了加拉巴哥群島。
　　在島上，楊恩生感受到達爾文勇於突破、盡心研究的精神，並實地體驗生態演化的奧妙。回臺後，深受感動的楊恩生用他最擅長的水彩畫，以驚人的長卷軸，畫下了這次旅程的點點滴滴，並走出不同以往的生態藝術之路。
